Drama Class (featuring Hamlet, As Told on the Street)

The students who like to rap, perform in front of an audience, and are interested in drama will love this class. It’s a play, set to a hip hop beat, about one of the most exciting stories ever told!

World Languages and Culture

The students will be spending the first 6 weeks exploring Latin America. Here we will learn how to introduce ourselves and greet others in Spanish and other important Spanish phrases, listen to great Latino music, learn how to salsa and even sample some authentic Latino food!

Running and Fitness Club

The students will do lots of active and fun activities to help you catch some fresh air and get some exercise! Some morning activities may include:

taking a jog around OSU campus
kickboxing
obstacle course
doing push-ups or sit-ups
yoga

Yearbook

The students work with the yearbook advisor to design and create the annual yearbook. Students who enjoy working on computers, writing, and using their creative ability will love this class.

Student Council

The students elected to represent their class will get leadership opportunities through student council. The students will meet regularly to discuss the ways they can support the school and help improve the environment at CCA.

Street Law

The students work closely with law students from The Ohio State University. The group discusses civil justice issues, the US Constitution, and many other topics related to law.

Basketball

The students participate in a boy’s basketball league at the Beatty Recreational Center. A team for the girl’s is coming soon!
